Description

Mount a child safety gate to a stair banister without drilling into your decorative newel post. The KidCo Stairway Gate Installation Kit brings together the clamps, adapters, fasteners and a 36 inch wooden mounting board needed to give a gate a solid, flat surface to attach to. It works at the top or bottom of the stairs with both hardware mount and pressure mount gates. The clamps fit square posts from 2 1/2 to 3 5/8 inches (6.3 to 9.2 cm) wide, and the included round post adapters handle turned or rounded posts. Interlocking shims help you set the board perfectly upright before the gate goes on, and only basic tools are needed. One kit is used for each side of the gate that mounts to a banister.
